BOOKING INFORMATION

HOW TO BOOK

We will be happy to assist and advise on any aspect of your visit. To make a booking for the Castle as easy as possible, we suggest that you consider the following before you contact us:

1. Your preferred date and time of arrival and departure. If a group arrives late for a booked tour or workshop, we endeavour to accommodate them at a different time, but this is not always possible. Please try to arrive well before your booked tour or education session. NB: traffic can be heavy in the city centre.
2. What you would like to achieve from your visit? You will be asked a number of questions, including your topic of study, age of children, and whether there are any children with special needs so that we can tailor the tour/talk to the right level. If someone else is making the booking on your behalf, please make sure they are aware of your needs. We are always happy to try to adapt our offer too.
3. Decide whether you wish to go on a guided tour, just visit the grounds or make use of the Education Centre during your visit. All guided tours and all sessions in the Education Centre must be pre-booked. If you intend to book the Education Centre please decide in advance which room you wish to use.

HOW TO PAY

You will be invoiced for your visit after the visit has taken place, unless you choose to pay on the day, using a cheque or credit card. If you wish to be invoiced in advance, please let us know and that can be arranged.

CANCELLATION FEES

Once we have confirmed your booking for a workshop, if you cancel the visit for the agreed date, you will be charged 50% of the total price of the visit. We will endeavour to help by trying to fill the cancelled workshop/s with other classes. If we can do this, we will not charge a cancellation fee.

Cancellation within two weeks of the visit will result in full payment being charged.

If you cancel a confirmed booking following school closure due to snow, we will try to offer the same workshop on a different date. If this is not possible, we will offer an alternative session at no extra cost. If we cancel your booking due to inclement weather or closure of the Castle, we will rearrange your visit if it is possible to do so.
