Cardiff Castle offers several of these remarkable rooms for hire, perfect for large scale dinners, corporate presentations, or smaller scale meetings, press briefings and private lunches. Our rooms offer spacious, comfortable surroundings, are flexible and can be set up in a variety of configurations to suit your needs.
THE BANQUETING HALL
Capacity: Up to 100 guests
Availability: Outside of Castle visiting hours
Created by the Bute family for grand entertaining, high ceilings and atmospheric lighting provide an unrivalled and spectacular setting for any occasion. It is the largest room in the Castle and its flamboyant decoration is typical of genius architect, William Burges, who created a Welsh Victorian Camelot for the 3rd Marquess of Bute. Drinks receptions can be served in the Library and, from there, guests can take the spectacular Octagon staircase up to the Banqueting Hall.

THE UNDERCROFT
Capacity: Up to 100 guests
Availability: All day
The 15th Century Undercroft, complete with stone-vaulted ceiling, is one of the oldest parts of the Castle. Once known as ‘The Servants’ Hall’, it is perfect for dinners, presentations or larger award ceremonies for up to 100 people and is available both during the daytime and evening. It also has its own private bar and reception area where your guests can gather.

THE GUEST TOWER ROOMS
Capacity: Up to 30 guests
Availability: All day
Intimate and private, the rooms come as a package providing a perfect environment for meetings, corporate training or interview space. The comfort of the Oak Room makes it ideal for a reception or breakout area, whilst the Walnut Room offers a flexible space for your business meetings, seminars, dinners or luncheons. Hire of the Guest Tower Rooms includes both rooms and is a setting which is bound to impress your guests.
